Location: Talitha Koum Institute

Day: Tuesday

Time: Meet at Bobo at 3:30 p.m., return by 5 p.m.

Team leaders: Samantha Buerger and Michael Bain

What we do: We assist the social work interns at Talitha Koum, a theraputic nursery for at-risk children, with various projects. These include organizing, cleaning and setting up for the Tuesday evening parents class. This provides an opportunity for the social work interns and other staff to focus on caring for the children.

Day: Saturday morning

Contact: Carole Meriwether

What we do: This team serves on Saturday mornings to provide opportunities for students who do not have free time during the week to serve. This team will work with a variety of non-profits throughout the semester, including World Hunger Relief, Calvary Baptist Church, Waco Community Development, Caritas and others. The team will typically serve with one of these organizations for a few hours on a Saturday morning, probably two or three times a month.
