I absolutely love talking to students about "calling" because I think that college is an amazing time to explore the many different ways that God has gifted them.

What’s that one thing that led you to be a part of Spiritual Life?

God has been consistently calling me to work within the lives of students. This job...even in it's description...is in line with what I know that God has been preparing me for all of my life up to this point.

What is your favorite part of working at Baylor?

I love getting to work alongside people in all different phases and stages of life.

What book or books are you reading right now?

Finding Our Way Again by Brian McLaren, Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall & Denver Moore, How to Cook Everything Vegetarian by Bittman, Spiritual Disciplines Handbook by Adele Calhoun.

What book or books have most influenced your spiritual growth?

Traveling Mercies and Plan B:Further Thoughts on Faith by Anne Lamott, Girl Meets God by Lauren Winner, Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell.

Why have you chosen to work specifically with students?

Working with students is so energizing! I absolutely love talking to students about "calling" because I think that college is an amazing time to explore the many different ways that God has gifted them. College is a time to ask questions, make lasting friendships, travel and experience life in other places in the world...and so much more. In my college experience, I had many friends who walked alongside me, but I really wanted a person a little further on the journey to walk alongside me and that didn't really happen for me at that point in my life...so, that has given me a desire to be that person for others.

What is the best movie you’ve seen in the past year?

Juno.

What is your favorite movie of all time and why?

The Constant Gardener... it's difficult to watch, but very good.

When you go to your coffee house of choice, what do you order?

Iced Coffee, some half & half and 2 splendas or flavored green tea. When I am really splurging, I order a Cowboy coffee from Common Grounds!

Do you have a pet (s)? What are they and what are their names?

Mollie...she's from the pound so I don't know what "kind" of dog she is. She looks like a beagle who has had too many meals :0)

What is under the topic “most played” on your ipod?

Damien Rice, Patty Griffin, Coldplay, Joshua Radin, Death Cab, David Crowder Band.

What is your favorite place to go in Waco?

I like to go running in Cameron Park with Ryan and Syler on the trails on both sides of the Brazos...and finish that with breakfast at Cafe Cappuccino.

What is the craziest or most-unique job you have ever had?

I sold memberships at a gym in Kalispell, Montana.

If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

Depending on the time of year...I would either go to Kenya, Hawaii or Northwest Montana.
