School of Education Homecoming 2013

School of Education Hosts Alumni for Breakfast

The School of Education hosted a Homecoming breakfast October 19th in the courtyard of its new home in the renovated Marrs McLean Science Building. Almost 200 alumni and friends registered to attend the breakfast and braved the chilly weather for a pre-parade gathering.

In addition to breakfast tacos, the SOE offered tours of the building, which now houses the departments of Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology, and Educational Administration. The Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation (HHPR) remains mostly next door in the Marrs McLean Gymnasium, but the renovated building contains a new lab for the athletic training program.

The SOE plans to make its Homecoming gathering an annual tradition. Next year, alumni will be able to tailgate at the SOE before the game and then walk across the river to the new Baylor Stadium, if game scheduling permits.
