Mission Statement

 
Baylor CARE has four missions:



To provide Baylor University students who seek careers in the treatment and care of individuals with developmental disabilities an exceptional hands-on training experience in the skillful application of scientifically-based principles of assessment and intervention.

To conduct cutting-edge research that seeks to improve the education, treatment, and outcomes for individuals with developmental disabilities and to disseminate findings that contribute to the advancement of the field.

To enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, on-going assessment, and other supportive interventions based on the science and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and aimed at improving communication, socialization, adaptive skill(s), and other identified needs.

To provide consultation and training to parents and community agencies enabling them to better support children in their care who struggle with developmental disabilities.
