Comments on Tiffani A. Riggers
Tiffani's preparation at Baylor demonstrates another dimension of the masters program that is often overlooked: research. The insight she received in moving from theory to practice, along with research basics, helped open doors for her study in the PhD program at UCLA. I'm confident that she will continue to use her Baylor education to inform her decisions in the future.

Tiffani was a student in two of my courses (culture and organization in higher education, as well as planning, budgeting and assessment in higher education) during the first year of her master’s degree program. Tiffani is a very bright and capable student who easily ranks in the top 10 percent of the graduate students with whom I have had the opportunity to teach over the past seven years. Tiffani is an eager learner—always pressing herself to explore further, ask deeper questions and tackle the most substantive problems. In addition to Tiffani’s intellectual capacity, she is simply a very fine human being. She cares deeply about justice, education, learning, and playing a role in making the world more humane place. All those who encounter Tiffani appreciate her compassion for others, as well as her ability to transition with ease from one conversation about the world of ideas to another about the personal needs of a fellow colleague. She is an intuitive and committed educator capable of being both an administrator and scholar.
