Comments on Susan Robinson

Susan was one of those students who not only set goals for herself, but actually achieved them! After hearing a guest speaker in the Exceptionalities class, she wanted to teach in an International Baccalaureate School. Upon graduation, she moved to Tyler and did just that! Within a year of graduation, she was providing workshops to other teachers on methods for facilitating children's independent studies.

I was blessed to have Susan Robinson as my intern during the 2004-2005 school year.  As a Baylor intern, Susan had a positive attitude that was contagious to those around her.  She made learning relevant and fun as she designed curriculum toward individual learning styles.  The students loved interacting and sharing the "gift" of education with Susan.

As a young professional, Susan was at ease as she interacted with teachers and administrators.  I was proud of her when she agreed to "co-facilitate" and be a presenter with me at the Central Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics at RegionXIIServiceCenter.  As a Baylor student Susan calmly and confidently shared with educators from the region what had been successful in our classroom.

Finally, as a person Susan let her faith in God and Christian character lead the way as she showed compassion, respect, and love to each student, educator, and friend that was fortunate enough  to have their lives interact with an outstanding young lady, Susan Robinson.
