Philosophy of Teaching:
As a Baylor teacher who prepares future educators, I believe that successful teachers must have clear goals, effective communication skills, and adequate preparation in assessment and instruction, I also believe that successful teaching must be research-based and followed by reflective critique. My strongest belief about teaching excellence is that students will care more about learning when they know how much I, care about them. This concern is coupled with high expectations as illustrated in the following wisdom of W. Somerset Maugham: "It's a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it."
