ABA Degree Programs

The ABA Concentration can be completed within master’s and doctoral programs offered in the Department of Educational Psychology.

MSEd in Educational Psychology with a Concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis

The MSEd in Educational Psychology with a Concentration in ABA is a residential program requiring 36 hours of graduate coursework and a passing score on written comprehensive exams at the end of the program.  The program begins in June and students typically graduate in 15 months the following August.  Click here to view the recommended course sequence.

The MSEd is ideally suited for students who will work want to work as practitioners in the field of ABA.  Graduates from this program typically work in clinics, schools, and community programs serving children with developmental disabilities.

MA in Educational Psychology with a Concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis

The MA in Educational Psychology with a Concentration in ABA is a residential program requiring 30 hours of graduate coursework, including a master’s thesis.  The program begins in June and students typically graduate in 15 months the following August.  Click here to view the recommended course sequence.

The MA is ideally suited for students who will work want to work as researchers or professors in the field of ABA.  Graduates from this program typically pursue doctoral degrees in education, psychology, or related fields.

Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a Concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis

The Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a Concentration in ABA is a residential program requiring 65 hours of graduate coursework plus a dissertation.  The program begins in June and students typically graduate in 4 years.

The Ph.D. is ideally suited for students who will work in higher education as ABA scholars and professors.
