Second Year Cohort

Cohort 2016

The 2016 cohort is made up of 13 people from nine different states, 12 different majors, and nine different undergraduate institutions. Six came into graduate school straight out of their undergraduate careers while the remaining seven spent anywhere from six months to five years in the workforce before returning to school for this program.

Between the 13 of them, they have undergraduate experience in virtually every area of campus. They were involved in residence life or performing arts; spiritual life or student media. They were in Greek life, student government, and academic or professional organizations. Some served in student activities, orientation, or as a campus tour guide, and several studied abroad.

They come from a variety of backgrounds but have at least one thing in common: someone on their college campus believed in them. A college administrator made a difference in their lives, and now they want to make a difference in other students' lives. Meet our second-year students below.

First Year Cohort

Cohort 2017

The 2017 cohort is composed of ten individuals from five different states including Texas, Georgia, Maryland, Kansas, and Colorado.  These individuals studied eight exclusive majors and represent eight distinct undergraduate institutions.  Six members of this cohort continued their education immediately following the completion of their undergraduate careers while the remaining four delved into the workforce before enrolling in Baylor University’s Higher Education and Student Affairs master’s program.

Each member of this cohort brings distinctive experiences to the program from virtually every area on campus.  Areas of undergraduate involvement include: intramural sports, residence life, Greek Life, student government, campus recreation, orientation, and university-sponsored leadership programs.  Additionally, many were involved in several academic and professional organizations as well as studied abroad.

While these individuals all maintain their own unique stories, each member of this cohort shares an important commonality: someone on their respective undergraduate campuses invested in them.  A higher education administrator believed in each of these individuals to have a positive impact on tomorrow’s college students, and the members of this 2017 cohort strive to live up to this calling.  Meet our first-year students below.
