Why Ed.D. at Baylor

Students in Baylor’s Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction program are taught by well-respected, highly productive scholars who are well-established in their fields of expertise. The program offers cognates, or specialty areas, that are based on the expertise of our faculty. Potential cognates include math education, literacy and language, instructional technology, as well as other areas.

The Ed.D. prepares graduates to work in university teacher education programs. It also prepares graduates to work in K-12 schools as curriculum specialists or in other administrative positions.
