Transfers from Other Programs

Review of Internal Transfers from Other Programs at Baylor University to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Curriculum & Teaching Degree

Students who are currently pursuing another doctoral degree at Baylor and who have begun the program within the last 6-18 months may consider applying to transfer to the Ph.D. in Curriculum & Teaching program. Before doing so, applicants should read the Ph.D. in C&T web site carefully and familiarize themselves with the program.

If students decide they would like to apply to transfer from their current program to the Ph.D. in Curriculum & Teaching, they must a write a Letter of Transfer to Dr. Wesley Null at the address provided below. The letter must describe: 1) their reasons for requesting the transfer, including how the Ph.D. will better support their professional goals, 2) how many doctoral hours they will have completed by the end of the Spring 2010 semester, and 3) the likely cognate of interest they would plan to pursue as a Ph.D. student.

In addition to the Letter of Transfer, applicants must do the following: 1) submit a writing sample, which can be a paper written for a course while at Baylor, and 2) schedule a formal interview with Dr. Null or, if he is not available, another member of the Department of Curriculum & Instruction's Admissions Review Committee (ARC).
