Position: Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction

Curriculum and Instruction provides undergraduate and graduate programs in elementary, middle and secondary education. Primary responsibilities for this position include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in English/Language Arts, Literacy, Mathematics or Social Studies Education; scholarly pursuits worthy of national/international recognition; participating in/leading collaborative efforts to secure external funding; supporting teacher candidate and practitioner colleague development in EC-12 partner school settings; recruiting and mentoring graduate students, including graduate teaching assistants; and actively engaging with the community and serving the department, school, university and the profession at large.

Position: Part-Time (Adjunct) Instructor in Curriculum and Instruction

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers programs that lead to initial teacher certification in Elementary Education (including English as a Second Language), Middle Grades Education and Secondary Education. The middle and secondary programs include: Art, Business, English Language Arts and Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Spanish.

Part-time instructors may be needed to supervise a variety of field experiences, including full-year internships, or to teach professional, and methods courses in the various certification areas. The need for part-time instructors varies each semester. Consequently, assignments (contracts) may be for one or two courses per semester and for one or both semesters.

Qualifications: Minimum requirements are a graduate degree, teacher certification in an appropriate area and experience teaching in a Pk-12 setting. Upon receipt of the materials other information may be requested.
