SOE Graduate Student Quoted in Killeen Daily Herald
SOE graduate student Ashley Wyatt, who is one of 21 Baylor students studying School Psychology in the SOE's Department of Educational Psychology, was quoted in a story in the Killeen Daily Herald about the shortage of school psychologists. Wyatt is completing her first year of internship and will graduate from Baylor next year. Read more:
SOE Hosts "Distinguished Scholars Day"
On Monday, Nov. 10, the School of Education hosted a special day for high-achieving high school seniors who have already been accepted at Baylor and are interested in studying education. The day included tours of campus, Marrs McLean Science Building, and the Education LLC; lunch in Penland Crossroads; and classes taught by our dynamic SOE faculty! SOE Dean Wins Prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award
Baylor School of Education Dean Dr. Jon Engelhardt has received the Robert B. Howsam Award, a lifetime achievement award given by the Texas Association for Colleges of Teacher Education (TACTE). The Howsam Award is presented only on occasion and recognizes individuals who have exhibited exceptional leadership at state and national levels, have made significant contributions to educational spheres and have a long and enduring history with teaching.
