MLK Worship Service Jan. 17

Jan. 12, 2010

A worship service honoring the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr., will be held at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Miller Chapel in the Tidwell Bible Building on the Baylor Campus. The public is invited.

The service is a collaboration of the Baylor School of Social Work, George W. Truett Theological Seminary, the Religion Department and the Association of Black Students.

The Rev. Delvin Atchison, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church and a master of divinity student at Truett, will lead the worship service, which is titled "Martin Luther King, Jr.: Remembering the Visionary and Responding to a Call to Action."

A reception will be held immediately after the service at the Bobo Spiritual Life Center on campus.
