Agency Mission/Services:
The mission of IJM is to project people from violent forces of injustice by securing rescue and restoration for victims and ensuring public justice systems work for the poor. Placements have been in Manila and Cambodia.

Opportunities:
MSW Concentration: Participate with Aftercare Team to provide crisis-caregiving to victims of sexual exploitation; assist with ongoing case management of reintegrated clients, and engage with aftercare shelters around long-term victim care; assist with program development to effectively engage and provide services for community-based clients; conduct research and feasibility study for the development of a future victim assessment center, including identification of international models, assessment of readiness of local governmental and non-governmental partners; begin initial program design; research and identify potential capacity-building opportunities and partnerships with government social workers; develop internal social work trainings for Aftercare Team members on various evidence-based social work theories and skills.

Agency Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Training Required:
Yes, US based training: Week-long pre-deployment orientation at IJM headquarters in Washington, DC to cover IJM mission, vision, policies and procedures, etc. Field training: Week-long orientation at IJM Cambodia office to cover field-specific history, casework and agency information, policies and procedures, and introduction to Aftercare Team responsibilities and procedures. Ongoing training and supervision provided.
