2010 Kenya Social Work Mission Trip

The week of May 17, a team of nine social work students and alumni and three faculty/staff persons traveled to Nairobi, Kenya, to see first-hand how social work skills can be applied to global problems such as poverty and children made vulnerable by AIDS and other diseases.

They visited Day Star University in Nairobi and the Kibera Transformation and Development Project in the Kibera Slum. They went to the Reynolds Ministry Center and Kay School in Kitale, and spent two days at the Seed of Hope orphanage, both partially funded by Buckner International.
