The program involves liberal arts requirements, a social work core (41 hours), field education (more than 480 hours) with professionals in the community, and 124 total credit hours. BSW graduates can apply for advanced standing in the MSW program, enabling them to complete their master’s degree within a year.
Once admitted, students need to maintain a 2.7 minimum overall GPA.
Effective Fall 2012 the BSW degree requirements have changed. Students who matriculated to Baylor in Fall 2012 or later will use the new degree requirements.
