FAQs

Residential Camp

1. How do I know if my child should attend the Residential Camp?
The Baylor Soccer Camp is designed for all girls between the ages of 9-18. Players are adjusted throughout the first day to make sure that they are playing with players of similar ability. Most of our players come from club programs and consider themselves "select" players.

2. What if I want to bring my entire team to camp?
Teams are encouraged to come. If you would like to bring your team, please contact the soccer office at 254-710-3092 for information on team discounts.

3. What college prep activities will be held at camp?
During the week of our Advanced Academy Camp, we will have an optional meeting for the girls who are interested in learning about the college recruiting process. The meeting will address everything from when to start looking at schools to how to pick the right one.

4. What airport can they fly into?
There is an airport in Waco that most of our campers fly into. Campers can fly into Dallas-Fort Worth and we can give you the name of a private shuttle service that you can take. The Austin Airport doesn't provide a shuttle service at this time.

5. What about the dorms and security?
The campers will stay in a girls only dorm. On each floor there are staff coaches living as well. There is an athletic trainer on site 24 hours a day. All entrance doors are locked and can only be opened with a key. After 11:00 PM only a staff person on the inside will be able to open the door. It is two campers to a dorm room.

6. What should my daughter bring to camp?
Participants should bring blankets, sheets, a pillow, towels, a fan, toiletries, sunscreen, swimsuit (Developmental Academy only), alarm clock, socks, shorts, t-shirts, sweats, a soccer ball (balls are available for purchase during online registration and will be waiting for you at sign-in), soccer shoes. Avoid bringing valuables, as the University and camp staff are not responsible for lost/stolen articles. A small amount of extra spending money is suggested.

7. How can I make sure that my daughter gets her friend as a roommate?
We try to honor all roommate requests when possible. Please make sure that both campers indicate their roommate preference during online registration. We can't put three in a room. We will try to get the third person assigned to a room close by the other two, if at all possible.

8. How much money should they bring?
There is a camp store where they can purchase t-shirts and other specialty soccer items. We also offer the opportunity to order pizza each night. We don't keep the money for them and we encourage players to keep their money in a safe place.
