Please Note: The estimates above apply to full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduate students only.
These estimates do not represent a final determination, or actual award, of financial assistance or a final net
price; they are only estimates based on price of attendance and financial aid provided to students in 2009-10.
Price of attendance and financial aid availability change year to year. These estimates shall not be binding on
the Secretary of Education, the institution of higher education, or the State.
Not all students receive financial aid. In 2009-10, 93% of our full-time students enrolling
for college for the first time received grant/scholarship aid. Students may also be eligible
for student loans and work-study. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA) in order to determine their eligibility for Federal financial aid that includes
Federal grant, loan, or work-study assistance. For more information on applying for
Federal student aid, go to
http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. It is important for you to understand what is included when comparing your cost estimate results from the net price calculator at various institutions. At Baylor University, we charge a flat rate for full-time tuition. This means you pay the same flat rate whether you are an in-state or out-of-state resident and whether you take 12, 15, or more hours. Your housing choice, meal plan choice, personal expenses, and travel expenses may also vary from the averages we use in determining estimated cost of attendance. Our costs for the 2012-13 academic year have already been determined; however, some institutions may not announce their 2012-13 costs until later in the application process.
At Baylor, we offer a free financial aid estimator tool. The estimator will require that you enter more information than was required of you in completing the net price calculator, but the estimated financial aid package will also be a more accurate estimate. Remember, the net price calculator is based on 2009-10 data whereas our estimator tool utilizes costs and anticipated financial aid for the 2012-13 academic year. The financial aid estimator provides a comprehensive estimate of financial aid, including academic and need-based scholarships, grants, work-study, and loans. You may complete the financial aid estimator at http://www.baylor.edu/estimator. If you are interested only in academic scholarships, complete the scholarship calculator at http://www.baylor.edu/admissions/calculator.
