Renewing your Aid

If you wish to be considered for federal and state need-based financial aid for the 2013-2014 academic year, including Baylor need-based scholarships, federal and state grants, and federal loans, you will need to complete the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can complete it online at www.fafsa.gov

You should complete this form using actual data from your and your parents' 2012 income tax returns.

If you have not already done so, you and your parents will need to request a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov for use to sign your FAFSA.

You have the option of mailing in your and your parent's signature, however this method can slow the processing time of your FAFSA.

The federal processor usually has results of the FAFSA to our office within 5-7 business days from the date you file the application.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and Your Aid Eligibility

Currently enrolled students must be making satisfactory academic progress to receive and remain eligible for financial aid. Please review the minimum standards for making satisfactory academic progress.

Verification

In some circumstances, additional information may be required. If you are selected for the verification process, you will be asked to submit additional documentation. Watch your Baylor email and BearWeb for notification.

Please respond promptly to any requests from our office for additional information.

Current students selected for the verification process cannot receive their financial aid until all documents have been received and reviewed.

When your financial aid file is completed and reviewed, you will receive an Award Notification from our office.

This will explain your financial aid offer and any further steps you need to follow to finalize your awards.
