Laboratory Safety

The Department of Risk Management is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all those working in Baylor University laboratories. The Laboratory Inspection Program seeks to maintain a safe work environment through audits of university labs, ensuring compliance with EPA and OSHA federal regulations. It is expected that all areas addressed as laboratories conduct self inspections at least monthly and provide documented evidence, through recordkeeping, that these inspections have taken place. The Self-Inspection Document link below is a comprehensive guide to help P.I.s conduct, document, and maintain audits of their specific labs and areas.
