Emergency Procedures

As required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 29 CFR 1910.38, Baylor University has an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) that addresses emergencies that may be reasonably expected in the workplace. Included on this site will be information related to fire, chemical/biological, inclement weather, and other emergencies. At the time of an emergency, employees should know what type of evacuation is necessary and what their role is in carrying out the plan. Employees must be sure that they know what is expected of them in all emergency situations which may have been planned in order to provide assurance of their safety during such emergencies. This web site will contain all the information that an employee should be expected to know in case of an emergency. For a hard copy of any of the documents contained on this web site, contact the Department of Risk Management at 254-710-4586, or request by fax at 254-710-6256.
