University Research Committee
OBJECTIVES
To promote and encourage faculty research and external funding of that research, the University Research Committee is charged with the responsibility of distributing funds for the support of scholarly research projects.

ELIGIBILITY
All full-time faculty members at Baylor University regardless of academic rank may apply to the Committee for financial assistance in conducting research projects. However, visiting faculty and adjunct faculty are not eligible.

DEADLINES
The deadline for FY 2014 has passed. Deadlines for the next round of funding will be announced soon.

LEVELS OF FUNDING

  1. Small Grant Program: Up to $4,500 may be requested under the small grant program.
  2. Mid-range Grant Program: Awards ranging in amounts of $4,501-$7,500 are also available. The submission of an actual external proposal within one year of the project's ending date is an additional requirement of this award.

Application
To submit an application to the URC, please contact the Office of Sponsored Programs Coordinator assigned to your academic unit to obtain access to the online application form and to begin the proposal submission process.

Final Report Form
Investigators who receive funding under the URC small or mid-range grant programs must submit a final report within 90 days of the end of their project period.
