The Charles Edmondson Historical Lectures
The Charles Edmondson Historical Lectures, sponsored by the Department of History and funded by an endowment established by Dr. E. Bud Edmondson of Longview, Texas, to honor his father, Mr. Charles S. B Edmondson, are presented each year by a highly acclaimed historian whose scholarship in a particular field of study are expected to be of intellectual interest to the Baylor and Waco communities.
Department of Religion Annual Lectureship
Held in the Spring of each year since 1985, this public lecture is addressed to the wider academic community of scholars and students at Baylor and highlights the creative work of religion faculty in the areas of biblical studies, theology, church history, and world religions.
Dirac Centenary Conference
A conference honoring the memory of Dirac on the centenary of his birth, exploring the continued fecundity of his contributions to physics, mathematics, and the heuristics of physical theory.

Gillian Rose Lectures on Jewish and Continental Philosophy
Sponsored by the Department of Philosophy and the Center for American and Jewish Studies in honor of Professor Gillian Rose, a prominent Jewish philosopher arguing for a sustained dialogue on religious, cultural, and political issues that honor tradition and innovation.
The Gooch-Stephens Lecture Series
The Gooch-Stephens Lectures Series is an endowed lecture named for past chemistry department chairs, W.T. Gooch, chair from 1909 until 1949, and W.R. Stephens, who succeeded Gooch and expanded the department to offer a doctorate in chemistry. Stephens also oversaw the construction of the current facilities in the Marrs McLean Science Building.
Herbert H. Reynolds Lecture in the History and Philosophy of Science
Established in 1998 by a gift to the Department of Philosophy, brings to the campus an internationally recognized scholar in the sciences and in the philosophy of science.

An event of the African Studies Program which features the work and scholarship of Baylor faculty, staff, students, and alumni in promoting peace and justice on the African continent.
Martin Buber Lectures on Biblical Faith, Holocaust and the Future of Jewish and Christian Life
A series of the Center for American and Jewish Studies in recognition of Martin Buber, the great Jewish theologian and biblical scholar exiled from Nazi Germany, who advocated for reconciliation of Jews and Arabs in Palestine and Israel and Jewish-Christian relations.
Robert Foster Cherry Awards for Great Teachers
The Cherry Award Program is designed to honor great teachers, to stimulate discussion in the academy about the value of teaching, and to encourage departments and institutions to value their own great teachers.
Dr. Colin Adams' series of lectures has been postponed until Spring 2004.
SETAC Regional Meeting
The South Central Chapter of the Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry will host their regional meeting at Baylor University from May 21-22, 2004.
