The Baylor Libraries will be hosting a series of workshops on writing abstracts from Tuesday, Feb 19, thorugh Friday, Feb 22. Although geared towards undergraduates who plan to submit abstracts for Scholar's Week, scholars and researchers of all ages are welcome.

Abstract Writing for Humanities and the Social Sciences
Tuesday, Feb 19, 3:45-4:45pm, Moody G42

  • Learn how to write an abstract that is concise and to the point while still conveying the salient points of your argument in a logical manner.
  • Spend time actually writing your abstract under the guidance of library faculty.

Abstract Writing for the Sciences, Engineering, and the Social Sciences Wednesday, Feb 20, 8:00-9:00pm, Moody G42
Thursday, Feb 21, 3:45-4:45pm. Moody G42

  • Learn how to write an abstract that concisely addresses your hypothesis, methods, analysis, and conclusions.
  • Spend time actually writing your abstract under the guidance of library faculty.

Abstract Reviews and Critiques Friday, Feb 22, 12:00-1:30pm, Jones Creekmore Conference Room

  • Bring your lunch, laptop, and abstract and have your abstract reviewed by peers and faculty.
