Scholarships and Awards
The Department of Psychology & Neuroscience awards several scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students each year. The Department also honors undergraduate students at our annual awards banquet, recognizing outstanding performance in the academic curriculum, research, and service. Undergraduate scholarships include:
The E.O. Wood Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding junior psychology student who has a strong Christian commitment, an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher, and has a psychology GPA of 3.5 or higher. Awards are made in the spring of each year. A completed application includes a statement of vocational goals and Christian commitment and any information that demonstrates the strength of your scholarship, your motivation, dedication and potential to make a significant contribution in the field of psychology.
The L. Joseph Achor Award is awarded to an outstanding psychology student. Recipients are nominated and selected by departmental faculty.
Graduate scholarships include:
The Herbert J. Reynolds Memorial Award is awarded to an outstanding graduate student who has a strong Christian commitment and outstanding performance in the graduate curriculum. Awards are made in the spring of each year. A completed application includes a statement of vocational goals and Christian commitment and any information that demonstrates the strength of your scholarship, your motivation, dedication and potential to make a significant contribution in the field of psychology.
The Eugene Walker Award in Clinical Psychology is awarded annually to an outstanding student in clinical psychology. The award covers travel and registration expenses for the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association or another targeted continuing education activity. Awards are made in the spring of each year. Recipients are nominated and selected by departmental faculty.
