Email from the President - Strategic Planning Input Period Ends This Week

April 27, 2011

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

I write to remind you that the community input portion of our strategic planning effort will conclude in just a few short days. If you have not yet taken the opportunity to participate in our planning process, I encourage you to do so this week. It is important that each voice is heard as together we craft a vision of Baylor's future.

Under the inspired leadership of Executive Vice President and Provost, Dr. Elizabeth Davis, we are making wonderful progress in our strategic planning. To date, we have received wise counsel from more than 50 on-campus groups of faculty, staff and students; more than 700 alumni and friends, who have participated in input sessions held in 16 different cities in Texas and across the U.S.; and more than 200 individuals, all of whom have shared their vision for a bright and promising future for our University.

We welcome everyone to this conversation. This will play a critical role in the development of our future strategic priorities. I encourage you to share your thoughts and suggestions via the input form available on the strategic planning website. You can also read more about the progress of our strategic planning efforts on the Baylor news site.

Gratefully,

Ken Starr

President
