Academic Advising

What is prehealth advising?

An advisor assists students with selecting courses appropriate to their intended program of study. Advisors also provide guidance regarding course load, academic progress, majors, minors, careers, and many other topics. Students may check their advisement requirements by signing into Bearweb. Students who are designated prehealth are either required or strongly encouraged to work with a prehealth advisor before they register for classes depending up on the number of hours they have completed. Professional health programs are highly selective.  Therefore, it is important that students stay on track with academics, community service, and shadowing opportunities in order to remain competitive.
