Baylor2 Medical Track Program

1. How do I apply?
Students must apply for admission to Baylor University and meet the November 1 deadline to be considered for the Baylor2 Medical Track program. The Admissions Office will email students who meet the requirements for the Baylor2 Medical Track program and invite them to apply for the program.

2. Should I apply if I do not meet the minimum test score requirements? I might if I retest in the future.
Only applicants who meet the minimum test score requirements at the time the application is due will be considered for the program.

3. Is it possible to be invited to apply if I do not meet the minimum score requirements on SAT or ACT?
Students below the minimum test score requirements will not be invited apply for the Baylor2 Medical Track program.

4. When will I be notified if I have been selected for the interview?

5. Is this program affiliated with the Rice/Baylor program?
No. These are two separate programs. However, students are allowed to apply to both programs.

6. Do I have to stay for the whole interview day?
You are required to come to campus for the interview unless you attended Invitation to Excellence in October 2014. If you attended Invitation to Excellence, you can coordinate a phone or Skype interview. There are no other exceptions.

7. Am I required to come to campus for the interview?
Yes. All students who meet the requirements to interview and would like to be considered for the Baylor2 Medical Track program must come to Waco to interview. Sorry, but there are no exceptions.

8. What can I expect on the Interview Day?
If selected, you will receive an itinerary for the Interview Day. Programming for the day may include information on being a pre-med student at Baylor University, an opportunity to meet with current pre-med students, financial aid information, lunch on campus, campus tour, and other activities.

9. What are the interviewers looking for?
You will be asked about your interest in the medical profession. Be prepared to talk about the items listed on your resume and the reasons why you would be a good fit for the Baylor2 Medical Track program. We are looking for students who are able to communicate effectively and have demonstrated a passion for the medical field. We are also looking for students who have had internship opportunities involving medicine, have done medical research, shadowed a doctor, etc.

10. What should I wear to the interview?
We recommend business attire.

11. Who will interview me?
Applicants will have a one-on-one interview with a Baylor University faculty or staff member.

12. Can I attend the Interview Day and Invitation to Excellence?
Yes. These are two separate events and students will finish the Interview Day in time to attend Invitation to Excellence. However, you must have already been invited to and registered for Invitation to Excellence to attend.
