Baylor University's Accounting Programs Stage a Comeback in Public Accounting Report Rankings

January 27, 2011

Baylor University's Accounting program received high rankings from Public Accounting Report's (PAR) 29th Annual Survey of Accounting Professors, published in the independent newsletter's November 2010 issue.

After a one-year absence from the PAR lists, Baylor Accounting's undergraduate program ranked No. 23 in the nation; its graduate program garnered honorable mention, just missing the top 25 list.

When measured against other programs with a similar number of teaching faculty, Baylor's undergraduate Accounting program came in at No. 10 and its graduate program took the No. 11 slot in the country. In the PAR groupings, Baylor falls into Group II, the mid-size category.

More than 1,700 accounting educators participated in PAR's Annual Survey of Accounting Professors. The professors rank programs on a scale of one to 10 answering the question, which programs consistently turn out students capable of some day attaining partner status.
