Hispanic Heritage Banquet Will Feature Senior Vice President of Children's Medical Center of Dallas

Baylor University's Hispanic Student Association will host Regina Montoya, senior vice president and general counsel of Children's Medical Center of Dallas, at its annual banquet at 7p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center on Baylor's campus.

The event, presented with the Baylor Department of Multicultural Affairs, will be held in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Dinner will be served.

Montoya will lecture on "Latinos: America's Growing Voice," followed by a short question-and-answer session.

Members of the Baylor Men's Choir also will perform a selection.

Montoya is a former award-winning television commentator and a Harvard-trained attorney. She was recently named one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in the United States by "Hispanic Business Magazine." "Hispanic Enterprise Magazine" named her one of the Top 20 Leading Latinas in Business.

Tickets are available at the ticket office in the Bill Daniel Student Center. They are $10 for Baylor students and $20 for Baylor faculty and staff and members of the Waco community.

The Bill Daniel Student Center is located at 1311 Fifth St.
