Baylor Honors Fort Hood Police Hero, Military Personnel at Saturday's Football Game

Baylor University honored Fort Hood soldiers and their families, as well as Senior Sgt. Mark Todd, the civilian police officer credited as a hero during last week's tragedy at Fort Hood, during the Baylor-Texas football game Saturday at Waco's Floyd Casey Stadium.

Baylor provided 1,000 tickets to Fort Hood for service personnel and their families to attend the game. Soldiers and their families were seated in Section L on the east side of the stadium.

Sgt. Todd ran onto the field with the Baylor Bears and participated in in the coin toss at midfield before the game. Todd also represented all Fort Hood guests when Athletics Director Ian McCaw recognized Fort Hood military and civilian personnel at the game's first timeout.

Baylor players also began wearing a decal featuring the Fort Hood insignia on their helmets. The decal will remain in place for the remainder of the season.

Saturday's game against Texas was nationally televised on FOX Sports Network (FSN).
