Publishers Weekly Religion Editor Speaks at Baylor's Honors College

The Honors College at Baylor University will host a lecture presented by Phyllis Tickle, founding editor of the religion department of Publishers Weekly, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the Alexander Reading Room on the first floor of Alexander Hall.

Tickle, will present "Emergence Christianity: What is it? Where did it come from? How shall we engage it?" This lecture is free and open to the public.

Tickle has been quoted for her expertise on Christian theology in USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, the New York Times and Newsweek, as well as television programming on PBS, NPR, CNN and BBC.

She is the author of more than two dozen books in religion and spirituality, including The Great Emergence, How Christianity Is Changing and Why and The Words of Jesus: A Gospel of the Sayings of Our Lord.
