Baylor Theatre Season Tickets on Sale Now

WACO, Texas - The Baylor University Theatre will present the 2009-2010 season with a variety of shows from a Tony Award-winning musical to Shakespeare's Macbeth. The theater will offer season tickets to theatergoers now through Oct. 10. Season tickets are on sale for $55 for a five-show package.

By purchasing a season ticket, patrons are offered advanced selection of seats, admission to the annual patron reception in April and up to 40 percent off single-ticket prices.

This season will include:

  • The Drowsy Chaperone - a musical, which won five Tony Awards, about a showgirl looking to give up the stage in order to marry an oil tycoon. Oct. 1 - 11.
  • Fuddy Meers - a comedy about an amnesiac that wakes every morning for her husband and son to refresh the facts of her life to her. Dec. 1 - 6.
  • The Seagull - Anton Chekhov's tragicomedy about the romantic and artistic conflict of an ingénue, an actress, a playwright and story writer. Feb 9 - 14.
  • Macbeth - Shakespeare's tragedy of prophecy and a plot to kill a monarch. March 3 - 11.
  • Enchanted April - Four dissimilar women in 1920s England leave their damp home for a secluded coastal castle in Italy and are rejuvenated. April 27 - May 2.

Season tickets may be purchased online at www.baylor.edu/theater, by phone at (254) 710-1865 or in person at the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center box office. The box office is located off University Parks Drive, past Dutton Street and across the street from the Mayborn Museum Complex.
