Baylor University Jazzes Up Annual President's Concert

Waco, Texas (April 21, 2012) - Baylor University will host its annual President's Concert featuring performances by the acclaimed, 80-member Baylor University Wind Ensemble, the Baylor University Jazz Ensemble, the Baylor Saxophone Quartet and special guest performers and the world-renowned Jim Cullum Jazz Band. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in Jones Concert Hall in Baylor's Glennis McCrary Music Building, 110 Baylor Ave.
Performances by the Jim Cullum Jazz Band have been regularly broadcast since 1987 through Public Radio International's "Riverwalk Jazz," which is performed five nights a week at The Landing in the Hyatt Regency on San Antonio's famous Riverwalk. The band will play classic jazz music associated with composers such as King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin.
