Biography
Barry Harvey joined the Baylor faculty in 1988, one year after receiving his doctorate degree in Christian theology and ethics.
Harvey has authored two books, numerous articles and reviews and presented papers at various professional meetings. He is a member of the American Academy of Religion, the International Bonhoeffer Society and the National Association of Baptist Professors of Religion.
Aside from academic and professional organizations, Harvey is involved in civic groups in Waco, Texas, and in various ministry and church activities, serving on the worship committee and as an adult Sunday school teacher at his church. Harvey has offered such seminars as "Theology for Beginners: Exploring the Basic Teachings of Christianity" and has been a convention messenger for the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
