The Department of Political Science at Baylor University offers students the opportunity to earn academic credit while performing an internship in Washington, D.C. Students may sign up for Political Science 3392 (Washington Internship) and earn three semester hours credit for the internship experience. To earn academic credit, students are required to complete the following activities:
- Attend a series of orientation session prior to the internship.
- Attend the Baylor University Poage/Mayborn Seminar held in Washington, D.C. for two days in the first week of June.
- Successfully complete an internship in Washington, D.C.
- Submit a paper as assigned by the program director.
