Supervisory Core

What is the Supervisory Core?

The Supervisory Core is a series of ten professional development seminars that are highly recommended for all supervisors at Baylor. The courses are tied directly to Baylor's core competencies for supervisors. Completing these courses will give supervisors a firm foundation upon which to build future leadership and management development.

What are the advantages of the Supervisory Core?

  • The Supervisory Core offers a well-rounded introduction to supervising for new supervisors.
  • For experienced supervisors, The Core offers great "refresher" training, an opportunity to "fill in some holes" in your supervisory skills, and a chance to get to know other supervisors on campus.
  • It's an easy way to plan your professional development as a supervisor.
  • Courses in the Core are Baylor specific.
  • POD plans to offer management/leadership development opportunities in the future that will be designed specifically for those who have completed the Core.
