ITS Security CBT instructions

Thank you for taking the computer-based training (CBT) program "Information Technology Security." The lesson takes about 30 minutes to complete. Following are the instructions for taking the lesson and the test. (Hint: Others have found it helpful to print these instructions.):

*** Note: If at any point you see a security "pop-up" while logging in to this lesson, it is OK to accept it and continue. ***

To take the course:
1. Log into the Blackboard system at the following website: https://my.baylor.edu .
2. Sign in using your Bear ID user name (firstname_lastname) and password.
3. Once you have signed in to Blackboard, follow these steps to begin the CBT program:

Click on the Courses tab. The Courses tab is near the top of the screen.
Click on Professional Organizational Development in the Course Catalog box which is on the right side of the screen. (Hint: You may have to scroll to the end of the list of courses.)
Click on the Enroll button for the course "IT security." The Enroll button is on the far right side of the screen.
Click on Submit.
Click OK.
Click on "ITS Security CBT.pps"" and select open/run to begin your course.

To take the test:
The test is available in Blackboard. If you are taking the test immediately after completing the course, you will already be in Blackboard. If you are not already in Blackboard you will need to log in to the Blackboard system. To log in, click on https://my.baylor.edu , then sign in using your bear ID (firstname_lastname). Once you are in Blackboard, follow these steps:

Click on the Courses tab.
Click on IT Security POD: IT Security in the course list.
Click on IT Security Test.
Click on OK to begin test.
Complete the test by clicking on the answers (You do NOT need to save after each answer.)
Click on Submit and follow the instructions to see your score.

If you scored above 90%, you are finished. Congratulations! Your scores will be sent to professional development so that you will receive credit for the course. The course will show up on your "My Development" page in a few days. If you need to review the lesson again, or take the test again, you may do so at your convenience.

To get professional development credit for the course:
To get credit for taking this CBT course you must pass the accompanying test with a score of 90% or better. You may take the test as many times as you would like to achieve this score.
