Baylor Physics Undergraduate Program
Baylor has an excellent undergraduate program in physics with our graduates holding positions at universities, colleges, industrial sites, and government laboratories in the United States and throughout the world.
Our physical facilities are outstanding and we offer program options in several experimental areas (atomic and molecular physics, condensed matter physics,
elementary particle physics, and space physics) and in a wide range of theoretical areas (including condensed matter physics, elementary particle theory and
phenomenology, lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD), superstring theory, quantum gravity, early universe cosmology, and astrophysics/space physics
with a special interest in dusty plasmas. We have two separate 2 MV
Van de Graaff accelerators, a
Surface Analysis and Modification Lab, and a Hypervelocity Impacts and
Dusty Plasma Lab, and an ultra-high-vacuum facility, all with current state-of-the-art tools. Undergraduates are encouraged to join one of the research groups above early in their course of study. This has resulted in several of our undergraduates over the past few years publishing papers before their graduation.
If you are seeking a high-quality program in a closely-knit, friendly environment, please contact us directly either by e-mail or phone. We would be delighted to answer any questions or simply get to know you.
