Baugh Center for Free Enterprise Inaugural Distinguished Lecture & ReceptionSept. 10, 2013
Dr. Tomasi is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Political Theory Project at Brown University and author of Free Market Fairness (Princeton University Press, 2012). Drawing from his highly regarded new book, Dr. Tomasi simultaneously builds on moral insights from defenders of economic liberty such as F.A. Hayek and advocates of social justice such as John Rawls, to present a new theory of liberal justice - "market democracy." This lecture and discussion should be of interest to students and faculty from Business, Political Science, Philosophy, Social Work and anyone interested in a potential bridge for the polarized views in our society related to economic justice and well-being.
Funding and sponsorship for this lecture are provided by the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise. The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Political Science, Department of Philosophy, Department of Social Work and Baylor Interdisciplinary Core.
