Dr. Adam Pelser to be Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the United States Air Force Academy

Dr. Michael Beaty is pleased to announce that Dr. Adam Pelser has accepted a position in the Department of Philosophy at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, beginning August 2013. Adam has been appointed Assistant Professor of Philosophy and will be joining a department of 12, comprised of both civilian and military faculty. Adam will be contributing to the department's teaching of a junior-level ethics course that is a core requirement for all students (cadets). He will also work on developing their philosophy major and minor. In commenting on his appointment, Adam said, "I am very glad for the opportunity to continue my vocation of teaching and scholarship at USAFA and I hope to represent the Baylor PhD program well there. I am very grateful for the excellent training I received at Baylor, which has prepared me for this position, and especially for the generous and encouraging support, both professional and personal, that I have received from the Baylor philosophy faculty and graduate student community throughout my time on the job market."
