PawPrints Departmental Codes
General information
PawPrints Departmental Codes, or D-Codes, allow student employees to use PawPrints stations for work-related printing without affecting their balances. Use the D-Code Print Locator to find D-Code enabled printers across campus. All D-Codes remain active for one semester and must be reactivated each semester of a student's employment.
Procedures
Departmental staff should request a D-Code for each student employee. The employee uses the D-Code to release work-related print jobs on D-Code enabled PawPrints stations. Student PawPrints balances will not be affected by work-related print jobs. A D-Code should only be used by the student employee to whom it is issued. Each D-Code will be disabled at the end of the semester, or upon termination of employment with the department.
Supervisors can (and should) periodically review the print history associated with a particular student employee. The print history will show the jobs released by D-Codes, which should only be work-related print jobs. Supervisors who become aware of personal print jobs that have been released by D-Codes should report the information to the PawPrints administrator at pawprints@baylor.edu. Baylor University Student Technology Services (a division of the Electronic Libaries) reserves the right to charge departments for excessive D-Code print jobs generated on general access printers.
