Constituents
The following definitions & guidelines will help you better understand our designations and improve our ability to meet your needs.
- Student - A person enrolled for one or more courses is considered a student and is required to have a valid Vehicle Parking Decal when parking on campus.
- Employee - Anyone who works at the University with a faculty/staff appointment on a full time, part-time, temporary, or on-call basis, receives a faculty/staff parking decal for their vehicle, as long as this employment is the individual's primary purpose for being on campus.
Once you are no longer employed by Baylor University, you are required to scrape off and return parking decals immediately.
- Visitor - A visitor is considered to be anyone who is not included under the definitions for faculty, staff, and students (parents, donors, guests of the university, and others). All visitors are required to have a valid guest pass when parking on campus.
- Handicap Parking - Parking is designated in faculty, staff, student, and visitors lots throughout campus. Handicap parking identification is required to be visible on vehicles. The fine for parking in or blocking a handicap space without a proper placard or license plate is $150.
- Vendor/Contractor - A company or person doing business with the University. Vendor/Contractor permits are not to be used by faculty, staff, or students.
It is the responsibility of all students and employees of the university to ensure their visitors obtain passes and are referred to Parking Services to obtain all legitimate parking availability information.
