 Welcome!
A hearty welcome to our new students who have joined us for the first time this semester and a sincere welcome back to our
returning students. After the winter break, getting back into the swing of the spring semester can be exhilarating and challenging, and we hope this issue helps you guide your student toward success. We are excited to begin a new semester and look forward to providing many opportunities for parent and family members to experience Baylor. To learn if there are Parents League activities scheduled in your area, please visit the Baylor Parents League website.
Last November, Terri Morris, the assistant director of Baylor Parents League, and I attended the Association of Higher Education Parent/Family Program Professionals (AHEPPP) 2012 Conference. More than 125 individuals representing colleges and universities across the nation were in attendance. The conference focused on promoting student success through parent and family involvement. It was a wonderful opportunity to
learn what other universities are doing in parent programming, and we were proud to share Baylor’s philosophy and efforts to involve families in the life of the University.
We wish for each of you an abundance of blessings as the New Year unfolds. We are grateful for you and the opportunity you are providing for your students to be Baylor Bears!
