The more than 190,000 Toastmaster members around the world are from a variety of occupations and backgrounds. They include doctors, auto mechanics, executives, teachers, homemakers, artists, college students, supervisors, attorneys, engineers, salespersons, and more. However, Toastmasters is only for individuals 18 years or older.
How do I join?
Simply fill out the Membership Application and bring it to one of our meetings. To avoid errors in calculation, leave the dues portion blank, and we'll complete it with you. You can pay by check, cash, or credit card.
How much does it cost?
Have you ever paid $100 or more for a one-day seminar? That is less than the cost for an entire year of Toastmasters.
There is a one-time new member fee of $20, which covers the costs of your Toastmasters welcome kit including your first two manuals, Competent Communicator & Competent Leader. The new member fee for Baylor employees is paid by Baylor Human Resources.
Regular membership dues are $48, payable every six months, due by October 1st & April 1st of each year, which includes $36 in Toastmasters' International dues and $12 in local club dues for Baylor Orators. New members pay dues based on the following prorated schedule:

When do I renew?
Dues are payable every six months. You will receive an email notification to renew your membership and have the option of paying dues for six months or for a full year. Active membership is required to participate in speech contests and to run for office.
