LOIS E. MYERS joined the Institute in 1986 and became secretary-treasurer of the Texas Oral History Association in 1987. She administers the Institute Web site, conducts field interviews, edits memoirs, and co-leads workshops. Lois is author of Letters by Lamplight (Baylor, 1991); co-author with Rebecca Sharpless and Clark Baker of Rock beneath the Sand: The Country Church in Texas (Texas A&M, 2003); and co-editor with Thomas L. Charlton and Rebecca Sharpless of Handbook of Oral History (AltaMira, 2006); and with Stephen Sloan and Michelle Holland of Tattooed on My Soul: Texas Veterans Remember World War II (Texas A&M, 2015).
