John Hayes
John Hayes completed his dissertation in 2007 and in August 2008 moved to Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to take a two-year Visiting Assistant Professorship. In December 2007 he published an article, "Hard, Hard Religion: The Invisible Institution of the New South," in the Journal of Southern Religion. He is currently serving as an advisor to Ambrica Productions' documentary-in-the-works on Johnny Cash.
