Bear the Difference Conference -- October 27, 2010
The Office of Access and Learning Accommodation at Baylor University is proud to announce the 2010 Bear the Difference conference on October 27, 2010, from 10am to 3pm, on the 5th floor of Cashion (in the conference center).
The goal of the Bear the Difference conference is to educate the faculty and staff of Baylor University and guests from the surrounding communities about the services and accommodations that are available through OALA. The conference will also provide valuable information on the various types of physical, psychological, and learning differences, and how they impact individuals on a daily basis.
This one-day conference will feature presentations from well-respected faculty and staff members from Baylor University. This year's keynote speaker will be Prof. Alan Lefever from Truett Theological Seminary. Dr. Lefever persevered amidst a physical disability since birth and will present an engaging and motivational discussion that will focus on overcoming obstacles.
Other institutions in the Central Texas area are invited to participate in the sessions, so as to take back valuable information to their respective institutions.
Co-sponsored by Heart of Texas Counseling Association (affiliate of Texas Counseling Association). All sessions and the keynote speaker have been approved for CEUs. Participants can earn a maximum of 4 CEUs.
