Americans with Disabilities Act
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act states that "no otherwise qualified individual with disabilities in the United States...shall, solely by reason of his/her disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receving federal financial assistance" The ADA furthered this provision against discrimination by including all institutions, private or otherwise.

Association on Higher Education and Disability
AHEAD is the premiere professional association committed to full participation of persons with disabilities in postsecondary education. AHEAD dynamically addresses current and emerging issues with respect to disability, education, and accessibility to achieve universal access.

Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
CHADD is the nations leading non-profit organization serving individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Through collaborative leadership, advocacy, research, education and support, CHADD provides science-based, evidence-based information about AD/HD to parents, educators, professionals, the media and the general public.

National Institute of Mental Health
NIMH is an organization of the National institute of health. This web site offers information on psychological disabilities including anxiety, ADHD, ADD, PDD, Bi-Polar, Depression, Eating Disorders, Schizophrenia and more.

National Center for Learning Disabilities
NCLD offers information on various learning disabilities. The information includes legal rights, research and coping techniques.
